ACTA Wear: Premium Activewear with a Purpose

When it comes to shopping, there's nothing better than discovering a brand with great product AND a great mission. In my opinion, ACTA Wear is that kind of brand. Founded by Sydney and Taylor Brown ( Sydney a lifestyle influencer and Taylor a personal trainer & fitness influencer ), ACTA is an activewear brand. They offer both women's and men's clothing as well as a variety of accessories. Beyond just the product they sell, the brand strives to inspire their customers to "be their best self both in and out of the gym."

Here's the breakdown of why I love ACTA Wear:

A portion of every purchase is donated to the charity of your choice

With each item you add to your cart, you get the opportunity to support one of ACTA's four partnered charities: charity:water, Action Against Hunger, Operation Underground Railroad, or the Anxiety and Depression Association of America. According to their FAQ, the donation amount per purchase is 5%-15% of your total. Truly incorporating their mission into their brand and product, ACTA features four dots on almost every article of clothing to represent these four charities. The symbolism serves as a reminder that "becoming a great person is just as important as becoming a great athlete."

They create "innovative" products

ACTA advertises their clothing as "innovative," created using "high-endurance fabrics and threads" to achieve the best possible product. I have to admit, I've been very pleasantly surprised with the quality of each item I've purchased so far. The Seamless Legacy Leggings are the most comfortable, flattering, and uncompromising ( i.e. they aren't see-through when you bend over or squat ) leggings I've ever owned. You do pay for the quality, but you're also supporting amazing charities and a small business that's trying to make a difference through their business. That justifies the higher price for me.

Their designs are minimalistic in a super cute way

Although ACTA does have a Camo collection, the bulk of their clothing comes in solid colors rather than patterns. I love a good pattern every now and then, but the solid colors they choose are so aesthetically pleasing. They of course offer the standard black in nearly every product, but the actual colors of the clothing items are pretty unique, and there's a decent variety in each collection.

What I really love about the design is the cut / fit / style of the clothing. The sports bras come in unique cuts, the leggings have interesting fabric patterns ( like ribbing ), and the unisex sweatshirts are perfect for an oversized sweater + leggings moment. Here are some of my current favorite pieces ( I own some but not all ):

If you're wondering which pieces I'm wearing in the photos, I'm wearing the Daily Unisex Sweater and the Seamless Legacy Leggings in the top photo, and I'm wearing the Perforated Seamless Sports Bra and the High Waisted Motion Shorts in the bottom photo.
